Austriacus Subsector

The Austriacus Subsector sits at a critical junction: an anchor point halfway through the DANUVIUS Confluence, a stable warp current, navigable in only one direction, which leads from deep within the Ultima Segmentum to the south of Segmentum Obscures. It has long served as an important staging post for supplies running to the Cadian Gate, and has only grown in importance since the opening of the Great Rift.

War returns to AUSTRIACUS

The Austriacus Subsector, contested in ages past, has known decades of uneasy quiet. No Chaos incursion threatened its borders; no Xenos armada darkened its stars. Occasional raids by hostile forces were met and broken by its Imperial defenders.

But the quiet was a lie.

First, the Genestealer Cult of the Ascending Dawn pushed the verdant Forest World of STIRIA into civil war; then a vanguard host of Slaanesh-worshipping Traitor Astartes descended upon the sacred Shrine World of SALIS. The astropathic choirs sing in unison: these are no isolated incidents — merely the outriders of something far greater. Beyond the Twin Bastion Worlds of LIBERTA JUDEX ET ANTERIOR MONS, Xenos forces long dormant now stir, drawn, as ever, to the scent of war.

The Governor’s Strategi have but one question: where will the inevitable blows land?

Generals, plan your moves.

Will you spread your attacks across the Subsector, painting the whole map in your faction's colours? Or will you dig in deep, fortifying a single system into an unassailable bastion? The choice is yours.

The fragile balance of power is broken, and new frontlines are drawn as Warlords rush to secure their power bases in the contested territories. For the duration of this event, battles in Neutral territories will gain the winning player additional XP, and their faction additional Influence.
