The war on Armageddon rages. Untold resources are gathered, processed, and expended each hour to keep running the engines of war. The conflict’s demands keep the neighboring systems in a state of disarray as Imperial forces scramble to resupply and reinforce the embattled hive world. Inquisitor Greyfax believes there to be a sorcerer, either of the ALPHA LEGION or the THOUSAND SONS, operating in the region. It is believed the sorcerer has either corrupted or impersonated key members of the Administratum to unknown ends. Therefore she has charged an ADEPTUS SORIRITAS warband of the ORDER OF OUR MARTYRED LADY with finding the saboteurs hiding amongst the cogs of the war machine. What initially appeared to be a corrupt Administratum clerk now appears to be a broader conspiracy with tendrils reaching as far as the inner sanctums of HOLY TERRA. Greyfax has also enlisted a most unlikely ally: a NIGHT LORDS force lost in time – the REVENANT CLAW. Only a few relative decades removed from the Siege on Terra due to their escape through a warp anomaly, they see the modern Imperium to be a corrupt mockery of what they sought to build during the Great Crusade. They see in the grim darkness of the far future the exact outcome they hoped to avoid when they followed Horus into his grand betrayal ten thousand years ago. Fight through Chaos and Loyalist forces alike, expose the truth, and eradicate the rot tearing at the Imperium’s heart. A bright flame casts a great shadow.
