Ambush at the Ice Shelf

After being repelled from the Valley of Perdition, the Order of Trinity made for the Moon of Glacius. Impossibly, a sacred shrine was found amongst the barren wastelands of the glaciers, and Inquisitor Fenwick was intrigued to note that many strange corpses were found in the ruins. Not mutated, but impossibly twisted through strange experiments. Unfortunately, before the inquisitor could investigate further, the hive mind's lurking predators sensed food, and did not care if the biomass were alive or dead.

The sisterhood made a valiant effort to purge the shrine of Xenos, aggressively pressing forward with heavy firepower to bring down many of the larger bio forms, including the Deathleaper leading the swarm. But the Tyranids were able to escape with all of the twisted specimens, and Inquisitor Fenwick was ambushed by the swarm's Neurolictor. Cannoness Valoria atoned for her shame of a lost duel (against the Necrons) by heroically throwing herself at a lictor, defeating the menace without a scratch herself.
